Diane has a high profile in South Australia, nationally and internationally for her dedication and work to promote the rose. This is reflected in honours awarded to her. Among them is: Life Membership of The Rose Society of South Australia; Australia’s highest rose honour, the Australian Rose Award; and in 2025, a World Federation of Rose Societies Gold Medal. Diane is Immediate Past President of the World Federation and served as Treasurer of the Federation for many years. She is also Immediate Past President of the Rose Society of South Australia.
Diane brings years of “rosey” experience to South Australia—exhibiting, judging, serving on Council and holding various officer positions. She has led the Society in navigating substantial difficulties, like COVID, and the involvement of South Australians in national and international arenas dedicated to celebration of roses. She was also integral in bringing the “the world of roses” to South Australia’s doorstep in 2022, welcoming rosarians from across the globe to the State for the 19th Triennial Convention of the World Federation of Rose Societies.
