SPRING ROSE SHOW BRINGS SOUTH AUSTRALIA’S BEST BLOOMS TO THE BAROSSA

Barossa Central Shopping Mall in Nuriootpa

 The Rose Society of SA is continuing its aim of “taking roses to the people.” This spring, South Australia’s largest regional shopping mall, Barossa Central,1 Murray Street, Nuriootpa will be filled with South Australia’s best rose blooms. The Rose Society’s popular Spring Rose Show will be held at Barossa Central on Saturday 24th October (12 noon to 5pm) and Sunday 25th October (9am to 4pm).

The Barossa Central mall will display Rose Show competition entries and creative floral arrangements. Visitors can also get advice from rose experts! This includes learning more about rose growing, having a rose identified, inspiration for home gardens or becoming a Rose Society member. It’s all here at our annual Spring Rose Show.

Members of the public (and Rose Society members who have not exhibited previously) are invited to participate in the ‘Best Rose Competition’ - Community Class* by staging their best home-grown rose blooms on Sunday 25th Oct. between 10am and noon. Bring along your roses (with stem and foliage in water) to enter your blooms ready for judging. We are hoping to see lots of wonderful entries on the bench and of course there are prizes for the winners. The public can also participate in the Rose Perfume Competition.

The Rose Show is generously supported by the staff and management of Barossa Central with its relaxing cafés providing great food and beverages. Come and smell the roses and treat yourself to delicious morning tea, lunch or afternoon tea in the shopping centre.
