Rose Pruning Demonstrations

Our motto: “It’s too soon to prune in June”

Come to our FREE  2026 Rose Pruning Demonstrations

Pruning is not a difficult task if you use the right equipment and follow a few simple rules. Pruning in July is recommended and avoid the temptation to prune too early when the first shoots may be affected by frost. You are welcome to bring your gloves and secateurs to practice under guidance from the experts.

Saturday 20th June at 11am and 12.30pm at Knight’s Roses, 44 Jack Cooper Drive, Gawler.

Sunday 28th June from 12.30pm to 3pm at the International Rose Garden, Adelaide Botanic Garden, Hackney Road, Adelaide. Feel free to bring your gloves and secateurs to practice with the experts.

Saturday 1st August at 11am and 12.30pm at Knight’s Roses, 44 Jack Cooper Drive, Gawler.

To get the best out of your roses, good pruning is required. Sometimes gardeners are put off by the mass of stems and foliage which confronts us at pruning time. However, with a few simple rules roses can easily be rejuvenated, shaped and trained. The results can create lovely displays and give your roses the best start in spring.
